Godaif FC have picked their fourth point as the Eritrean Women’s Club Championship entered Day 4 on Tuesday at the Asmara Stadium.

After stopping Sembel 3-1 in their opening match few days ago, Godaif settled for a goalless draw against Gash Barka in their second match.

Despite the absence of goals, the match was marked by dynamic play and strategic prowess from both sides.

Gash Barka’s midfielder, Yohanna Tsegay, delivered an exceptional performance, showcasing remarkable skill and leadership on the field. Her efforts earned her the Player of the Match award, highlighting her as a standout talent in the tournament.

The draw sends Godaif top of the log in their group with four points collected.

On Monday Gejeret humbled Edaga Hamos 5-0 with Yolia Andom and Melat Medhane each bagging a brace, while Sofannet Sium also had her name on the score sheet.

The championship continues to foster competitive spirit and camaraderie among Eritrean women’s football clubs, contributing significantly to the sport’s development within the nation.
