Referees Tsegay Teklu, Sirak Samuel selected for TotalEnergies CAF African Nations Championship
Two Eritrean referees have been selected among the 70 officials to officiate at the TotalEnergies CAF African Nations Championship 2024
The tournament meant for local players featuring in their respective local Leagues at home will be co-hosted by Uganda, Kenya nd Tanzania.
Tsegay Teklu Mogos is among the 26 centre referees selected, while Sirak Samuel is part of the Assistant referees.
While Teklu Mogos has been officiating at International level since 2018, Sirak Samuel only joined in 2022.
The other referees selected from the Council of East and Central Africa Football Associations (CECAFA) include; Nyagrowa Dickens Mimisa (Kenya), Ahmed Arajiga (Tanzania), Lucky Razake Kasalirwe, Shamirah Nabadda (Uganda), while Emery Niyongabo (Burundi), Fasika Biru Yehualashet (Ethiopia), Mwangi Samuel Kuria (Kenya), Dieudonne Mutuyimana (Rwanda), Omer Hamid Mohammed Ahmed (Sudan), Ronald Katenya (Uganda), Eleyeh Robleh (Djibouti) and Ally Hamdani Said (Tanzania) are the assistants selected.
