Gejeret FC stop Zoba Debub to qualify for next round in Eritrean Women’s Club Championship
Gejeret FC have stopped Zoba Debub 4-0 to become the first team to qualify for the next round in the Eritrean Women’s Club Championship.
The Gejeret team maintained their perfect record and clean sheet, marking their third consecutive win in the tournament.
Gejeret showcased exceptional attacking play, overwhelming their opponents and solidifying their place at the top with two goals scored by Mielat Medhane in the first half, while Yolia Andom and substitute Azahier Tesfay also got their names on the score sheet.
The win sent Gejeret to nine points to make it to the next stage of the Championship.
In the second match played in Group B Southern Red Sea and Edaga Hamos played out to a goalless draw. Both teams fought pushed forward, but neither was able to break the deadlock.
