Denden score seven past Air Force in Eritrean Women’s Club tourney
The Eritrean Women’s Championship 2025 continued on Tuesday with two thrilling matches played at the Asmara Stadium.
In the first game of the day, Denden recorded the biggest win of the tournament so far with a dominant 7-0 victory over Air Force.
Misgana Mehari stole the show, netting the third hat-trick of the competition and earning the Player of the Match award. Fekadu Geamo and Fitehawet Yohannes added two more goals each, sealing an emphatic win for Denden.
In the second match witnessed an intense battle between two rival teams, Segen and Insurance, both fighting for a crucial three points.
Segen missed a penalty by Fiona Gergish. Despite this setback, Segen managed to secure a hard-fought 1-0 victory, thanks to a second-half goal by Hager Beshir.
Insurance suffered a significant blow when their midfield player, Martha Towelde, received the first red card of the tournament, leaving her team at a disadvantage. Yordanos Fessehaye from Segen was named Player of the Match for her outstanding performance.
Action continues on February 15th with Air Force facing Segen.
