Eritrean Football officials attend CAF governance Workshop in Algiers
The Eritrean National Football Federation (ENFF) participated in the just ended governance workshop that took place January 15-17th, 2025 in Algiers, Algeria.
Organised by the Confederation of African Football (CAF), the workshop aimed at promoting best practices in administration and financial management within Member Associations in Africa.
Head of CAF Member Associations Department, Sarah Mukuna and head of the Legal Department Felix Majani were the brains behind the workshop.
ENFF’s General Secretary Mulugeta Gebreyesus and Berhane Fessahaie (treasurer) attended the workshop.
Several themes were discussed during the workshop including; governance principles and structures, rigorous financial management, strategic direction and how to ensure the achievement of objectives, managing relationships with partners, conflict of interest, and fight against corruption and fraud were also addressed.
It also targeted aspects of management of financial processes, budget preparation, purchasing and payment mechanisms, as well as revenue generation.
The event brought together representatives from 15 nations, with the presence of the General Secretaries and Financial Directors of MAs from the following countries: Algeria, Tunisia, Burundi, Djibouti, Rwanda, Chad, Egypt, Eritrea, Mozambique, South Sudan, Comoros, Madagascar, São Tomé and Principe, Gabon and Central African Republic.
