Eritrean Football officials attend Assembly as Dr. Patrice Motsepe is re-elected CAF President
Officials of the Eritrean National Football Federation (ENFF) have attended the Confederation of African Football (CAF) General Assembly in Cairo, Egypt.
The elective Assembly re-elected Dr. Patrice Motsepe unopposed as CAF President for another 4-year term.
Paulos Weldehaimanot Andemariam, President of ENFF and his General Secretary Mulugeta Gebreyesus attended the Assembly held at the Marriot Mena House Hotel on March 12th, 2025.
The CAF Assembly was also attended by FIFA President Gianni Infantino.
The Assembly also saw six African representatives on the Fifa Council elected and these included; Hany Abo Rida (Egypt), Fouzi Lekjaa (Morocco), Kanizat Ibrahim (Comoros), Hamidou Djibrilla Hima (Niger), Ahmed Yahya (Mauritania) and Souleymane Waberi (Djibouti).
The five CAF executive committee members elected included former African Footballer of the year and now Cameroon Football President, Samuel Eto’o, Mustapha Ishola Raji (Liberia), Bestine Kazadi Ditabala (DR Congo), Wallace Karia (Tanzania), Kurt Simeon-Okraku (Ghana) and Sadi Walid (Algeria).
