Eritrea to open AFCON PAMOJA 2027 group qualifiers away to Kenya
The Red Sea Camels of Eritrea will start their group D TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) PAMOJA 2027 qualifiers with a match away to Kenya.
According to the fixtures released by the Confederation of African Football (CAF), the Match Day 1 matches of the qualifiers will be played September 21st.
The Eritrea team will later host South Africa in the Match Day 2 tie to take place around October 6th. The Eritrean team will later face Guinea in November.
The 48 teams that will play in the qualifiers have been placed into 12 groups, with the top two in each pool advancing to the continental finals.
The other teams from the Council of East and central Africa Football Associations (CECAFA) that will battle in the qualifiers include; Sudan, Ethiopia, Burundi, Somalia, Rwanda, South Sudan and co-hosts Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania.
The AFCON 2027 will take place June 19 June to July 17, 2027.
