Eritrea to host Niger, South Sudan teams for international friendly ties
The Eritrean National Football Federation (ENFF) has announced that international Football will return to the country between May 26-28th, 2025.
Eritrea’s national team, the Red Sea Boys will kick start with a friendly match against Niger on Monday at the National Stadium in Asmara. The team will then line-up against South Sudan after two days.
The upcoming mini-tournament will also be used to bring back International Football in the country, but to celebrate African unity. The matches will be played under the theme of “Independence Through Solidarity”.
Eritrea last participated in international competition in early 2020 in the FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
