Denden FC to feature in CAF Women’s Champions League Zonal qualifier
Eritrea’s Denden FC will take part in the CAF Women’s Champions League Zonal qualifier.
The Zonal qualifier for the Council of East and Central African Football Associations (CECAFA) will take place in Kenya between July 17th to August 1st.
Auka Gacheo, the CECAFA Executive Director confirmed that the Denden FC is among the 10 teams that have confirmed participation.
No team from Somalia will take part in the zonal qualifier, while South Sudan which had also earlier indicated that they will not participate now confirmed Yei Join Stars FC.
The best team at the Zonal qualifier will book a place in the 2021 CAF Women’s Championship League tournament to take place in Egypt.
The team that have confirmed participation include; PVP FC (Burundi), FAD Club (Djibouti), Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (Ethiopia), Vihiga Queens FC (Kenya), Aldefaa Khartoum FC (Sudan), Lady Doves WFC (Uganda), Simba Queens FC (Tanzania), Yei Join Stars (South Sudan), Denden FC (Eritrea), Scandinavian WFC (Rwanda).
