CAF President Motsepe Meets President Ruto Ahead of AFCON 2027

CAF President Dr Patrice Motsepe conducted a productive and significant meeting today with the President of Kenya, William Ruto, in Nairobi. A diverse delegation representing the Confederation of African Football (CAF) attended, alongside key figures from the Kenyan Government, including the Minister of Sport, Salim Mvurya. Notable attendees also included ENFF & CECAFA President Paulos Woldehaimanot and the leadership of the Kenyan Football Federation, spearheaded by President Hussein. Additionally, members of the Local Organising Committee responsible for the forthcoming TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2027 were present. During this important meeting, President Ruto conveyed his heartfelt gratitude to President Motsepe for his unwavering support and dedication to advancing football across the African continent. He emphasised Kenya’s commitment to hosting a successful AFCON 2027, expressing confidence in the country’s readiness to meet the expectations associated with this prestigious tournament.
