Referee Tsegay to handle Nigeria, Zimbabwe FIFA World Cup qualifier
The world Football body FIFA and CAF haves selected Eritrean referee Telku Mogos Tsegay to handle the Group CFIFA World Cup 2026 qualifier between Nigeria and Zimbabwe.
Nigeria fresh from beating Rwanda last week will host the match at the Godswill Akpabio Internatioal Stadium in Uyo on Tuesday.
The experienced Tsegay will handle the match with his compatriots Eyobel Michael, Mengis Sirak Samuel and Idris Mohammed.
Tsegay will be handling his third match in the FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifiers. He was also in-charge of the match when Lesotho settled for a goalless draw against Benin, and when Mozambique stopped Somalia 2-1.
